Silo is a warehouse for storing food used in human and animal nutrition. Silo in animal husbandry is usually a place where high humidity forage is stored so that it can be used for years without changing the nutritional value of the forage much.

Common silos are moat and walled

Silo dimensions
1- The maximum height of the silo should be 5 meters and the minimum should be 3 meters.
2. The width of the silo should be designed so that two loaders can enter the silo at the same time. However, for very large herds that can consume 100 tons of silage per day, up to 25 meters wide is also recommended.
3- There is no limit to the length of the silo, but it should be such that the silo is filled for a maximum of 2 to 3 days.
